Let’s get cooking. I have made this recipe a few times and we have enjoyed the results. Add a great veggie side and you have a complete meal that is simple and quick for any night of the week.
Creamy Keto Burgers with Mushroom Sauce
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs of ground beef
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
- 2 oz cream cheese
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 1 tsp garlic, crushed
- ½ cup gruyere cheese, shredded
- ¼ tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp pepper
- ½ cup of beef broth (optional)
Instructions:
- Shape your ground beef into burgers
- In a large skillet, melt your butter and saute our mushrooms until they are brown. When the mushrooms are just about done, add the garlic
- Meanwhile get your burgers going by heating another skillet on medium high and adding your burgers. Do not flip them for 5 to 7 minutes to keep them juicy (I have also made my burgers on the grill, which is another option for you)
- In the other skillet, add the cream cheese, cream, onion powder, thyme, salt and pepper. Once the cream cheese is melted, add the gruyere and mix well until melted
- Lastly add the sour cream and mix well to combine
- Pour the mushroom sauce over the burgers once they are cooked and serve
- You can add beef broth or even a bit of water if you want a thinner sauce
I found this creamy mushroom sauce delicious and I believe would be great over other meat options (chicken, steak, etc)
